In 1992 I was a teenager seeking to make art as my way of living, and I put my hand to it with all my heart and strong resolution.
The first pieces created were some string puppets, an insane amount of drawings and these tiny landscapes using old mirrors, pebbles, paper clay and all sort of "treasures" that I found on Montevideo's streets, my hometown.
30 years have gone by since, and because I keep really nice memories about that chapter in my life, I wanted to recall it making some of those tiny landscapes in paper clay. Back in time I used to do little windows full of plants, but as now I am absolutely crackers about birds, I want them to be starring in these new projects.
I hope you enjoy my Terracotta Landscapes as much as I did creating them!
